Are you one of those people that keeps telling everyone around there extravagant goals that they're going to achieve year after year? Yet summer soon rolls round every year and you're stuck wearing your shirt on the beach because you don't feel comfortable enough to take it off. Christmas time comes again and although you've been saying all year that you're going to start saving money, here you are again struggling for money to get your loved ones what they deserve. These are examples but i'm sure you know what I mean, where in your own life are you talking the talk but then continuing to not take action?
The only time is NOW, so why not make a change today that could impact your life down the line? Temporary pain in the moment so you can live like a king down the line. I think the famous quote is 'Do what others won't today – so that you can do what others can't tomorrow'.
If you keep prioritizing pizza and Netflix to a good diet and the gym...you will become fat.
If you prioritize spending on every little thing instead of saving...you will be broke.
If you never do something tough, you will never grow. FACT. The most common misconception of this day and age is that successful people are born and not built but this is not true. Successful people in any field have put in hours and hours of research, experimentation, training and self education to get to where they are today. Champions are built, not born.
Build a habit of taking action
If you want to create change, the number 1 habit you can cultivate is to take action, and if you start to consciously take action, before you know it, you'll be seeing the results from all the action you've been taking because at the end of the day, action = results so if you want to start creating more results in your life (which you probably do, else you wouldn't be reading this) then its time to start taking more action. I have personally struggled with the issue of not having the motivation to start taking action and always just wanting to find the 'perfect solution' or the 'perfect technique' before starting but I've recently made the mindset shift so that I view every task I do as planting seeds towards my long term goal and this then gives perspective to whatever task I am doing and it allows me to view a sometimes small, menial or boring task as planting another seed towards my long term goal of changing the lives of a million people.
The pyramids were built 1 brick at a time ;)
A great way to build the habit of taking action is to keep a journal of action that you've took each day and then the action you plan to take the next day – this is a powerful exercise and will definitely get you making progress on your goals quicker than your competitors. I personally write a few ways i've taken action that day and what action I plan on taking for the next day.
Time goes fast – start today
It's very strange, time seems to go very slowly but then you all of a sudden you realise the last 6 months have been a blur. So if you start taking action TODAY and then make a habit of taking some action everyday, no matter what it is, this consistency and focus will pay off for you because all of a sudden, another 6 months go by and you've been taking action everyday and you're miles and miles ahead of the former version of yourself who would wait for everything to be 'just right' or for the perfect game plan before even starting. The most beautiful thing is that in the same way that money compounds, so does taking action, so stop waiting around for the next big idea etc and start doing it. Stop procrastinating. Stop wasting time. The longer you wait to create your future, the shorter it will be so start creating the life you deserve...TODAY.
Have a vision to move towards
If you don't have a vision or a long term goal for your life, what are you living for? How will you know when you're making progress or even when you've made it? Having a vision should light a fire within you as well as giving you something to work towards everyday. My vision is to carry on growing Constant Kaizen to a worldwide company and impact as many lives as I possibly can and because of this clear and defined goal, it gives me context as to why I do anything that I do. For example, when I'm in the gym and my muscles are burning and my brains telling me throw in the towel, I know that pushing over the comfort barrier is whats needed to reach my fitness goals which will in turn give me credibility when trying to inspire people to improve their own lives so instead of thinking 'I should do the last set but I can't be bothered' , I can now view it through the lens of how it benefits me in reaching my long term goal. Take care of your 'why' and the 'how' takes care of itself. If you take one thing from this post today, PLEASE come up with an inspiring vision for your life – it will be the best thing you ever do, trust me.

Changes can be big or small
Changes of all size can be beneficial for your life and sometimes the smallest change can have massive effects on you if you're consistent and stick with it on a daily basis. If you start of small you can build your confidence in yourself and gradually move onto making tougher and bigger changes. This is the key to an amazing life, start of small, build confidence and competence and slowly improve and push your comfort zones, remember after all that we're in it for the long haul so don't worry about upgrading every area of your life in 1 go, be smart with it and work out whats the 1 thing that you can do that will have the most impact...sometimes it isn't even anything big.
If you want to lose weight, a small change you could make would be to prep your meals for the day and simply by doing this, it makes your job much easier. All the gradual improvements really do add up. Whats 1 change you could make today that could impact your life down the line?
Hopefully you're not one of the many helpless people in a victims mind state waiting for good things to happen to them, but if you are, we hope that you take the information and tools given in this post to start taking action towards creating a better life today. Remember, action creates results so taking more action creates more results, simple. Give yourself a reason to take action, give yourself a compelling purpose and you will have the motivation needed to do the things you don't necessarily enjoy doing in the moment, just so that you can benefit down the line. The world really is yours for the taking so stop sitting on your arse waiting for the supermodel to come and fill the void in your life, or waiting for 1 million to suddenly be the balance of your bank account.
