You want to change the world? Good on you. It isn't going to be simple, or easy but I'm going to provide everything you need to plan a realistic roadmap to changing the world. Nobody has the same ideas, talents and skills as you do, so why not use your uniqueness to touch the world in ways that it's never seen before?
Know your 'Why'
This is completely down to you and will vary depending on the person, but your why is your reason for doing something. WHY am I doing this? Once you decide your reason for doing it, whether its to see people smiling or to make your parents proud or to become a millionaire, write down all the reasons why this means something to you and write down all the possible benefits of actually achieving your mission. Once you've done this, you should feel motivated and excited to get the ball rolling, all these amazing things to look forward to!
Make a list of 5 things you could do THIS WEEK.
Over here at Constant Kaizen, we're all about taking as much action as possible and we firmly believe that you will never reach success in anything without taking necessary action so to get you going in the right direction and taking action towards your goal, make a list of 5 things that you can easily achieve this week and then do them, this is a great way to get the ball rolling and to make a start on your mission without the tasks being too daunting. Once you complete these things, really feel good about it and acknowledge the fact you got out of your comfort zone and did something and then make a list of 5 more things you can do, and then repeat the process. All major successes are built up from numerous smaller and seemingly less significant successes built up over time, so take care of all the small successes and the major success will take care of itself.
Momentum is an amazing thing
Momentum exists all the time, whether you realise it or not. Good and bad momentum is everywhere if you start looking for it and is the reason for when it seems like everything is going great or terribly. Why do you care about momentum? Because if it's on your side, it can get you making massive steps towards success. Momentum is created when you have a few minor successes one after another and when they are together, they create a fire inside you which makes it easier to cary on creating successes. You can create momentum on a smaller daily scale by starting your morning right and setting the tone for the day and then also create it on a larger scale by taking consistent action everyday for a month because if you have done this for a full month, you will thinking about what you're doing next before your even finished. Remember, every giant success is built up of lots of smaller success, but the quicker and more often you achieve the smaller ones, the quicker they add up into the larger success and with momentum on your side, you'll be smashing 'smaller successes' with ease. How could you start building some momentum in your life?
“Momentum is the bridge between a vision and its results”
Up the hill struggle
Success is a lot like an uphill struggle, because you have to keep pushing and pushing whilst only making slow progress and if you want to take a break or stop, then the ball rolls back down the hill, whereas if you keep pushing and keep pushing, you eventually get to the tipping point aka the top of the hill and then the ball will carry on rolling whether you carry on pushing or not. Remember this next time you feel like giving up or like you're fighting a losing battle, you are only so far away from your 'tipping' point. My uphill struggle is to keep positing these blogs and trying to build a following, and each day, the work I do pushes the ball up a little bit more but if I stop pushing, people will not get the chance to find out about me, but if I choose to keep 'pushing', I will eventually get to the point where people are waiting and requesting more new content and actually sharing it with people they know, and once I get to this point, my platform should grow by itself and this is the definition of getting the ball rolling.
Take over your area, then the world
When you're a big dreamer, it's easy to get caught up in your day dreams of changing the world and when you do this, the groundwork doesn't seem as attractive but if you start in your immediate circle and then spread your influence from there, you will have a much better chance of having a global effect. If you want to be a life coach, you could start by helping the people in your own household, then your street, then your town, then your country and then go worldwide, but you must take the first baby steps in whatever it is that you want to do before you can start running. Learn your craft, take pride in improving and changing the world, baby step by baby step as you go along.
I hope i've opened your eyes to what you need to do to get your world-changing efforts on the road, it's not an overnight process but there are definitely things you can start doing TODAY to start making progress. Just to go over what is the most important thing in this post, choose your 'Why' as it's going to be one of the biggest drivers in your success...whatever your idea of 'success' is.
As normal, we're going to leave you with an action plan.
